About the Program

The Who: Northern Exposure has been rolling to the capitol for more than 30 years, and last year the Greater Shreveport, African-American and Bossier Chambers joined forces with the Monroe Chamber and Chambers across the I-20 corridor to present a united Northern Louisiana front.

The What: Northern Exposure is the state’s largest annual, citizen-lobbying caravan. The purpose of Northern Exposure is to make sure north western, north central and north eastern Louisiana remain on the collective map of both lawmakers and the Governor.

The Where: Louisiana State Museum, 660 North 4th Street, Baton Rouge

The When: The First Tuesday in May from 11:00am – 7:30pm. The event continues throughout the day before culminating with a reception featuring signature dishes from local restaurants and chefs.​

The Why You Should Be There: This is a high-visibility event that amplifies our voice and lets the decision makers know what’s important to our region and reminds our leaders that not only are we a vital part of the state, but that we’re also engaged in the issues that affect our communities.
