16 individuals to be honored for their professional excellence, leadership, and civic commitments
The Greater Shreveport Chamber’s Business Development Connection is proud to announce the finalists for the 2024 ATHENA International Leadership Award. These distinguished individuals will be honored on November 14th at the ATHENA Leadership Award Luncheon, presented by Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. From this remarkable group of honorees, one individual will be selected as the ATHENA International Leadership Award recipient.
Verni Howard, the 2024 ATHENA Committee Chair, shared her excitement for this year’s honorees, stating, “As a previous honoree, it is my distinct honor to chair this year’s celebration. Leaders never do the work to receive an award, but this nod affirms that the work makes a difference. We will all get to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of sixteen women who are breaking barriers and leading our community to a brighter future!”
To be considered for this prestigious award, honorees must attain professional excellence, engage in community service and actively assist others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential.
